FTPSLZW
To be as lengthy as possible, FTPSLZW is is an acronym for "File Transfer Protocol Send Lempel Ziv Welch".
Lempel Ziv Welch, LZW, is a form of data compression, sometimes increasing the speed of data transfers by over fifty percent. Included in Jnos, it is most sucessfully used on slow VHF paths where TCP/IP over radio is done. FTPSLZW on the server end will attempt to negotiate a compressed socket on incomming links, meaning all ASCII text transfers or those perpetuated by a dir command are compressed during tranfer.
